Prescription Medicines
PRESCRIPTION DRUG ASSISTANCE
Even since the adoption of the Affordable Care Act, the Society has seen an increased demand for assistance with prescription drug costs among people in need. These people may not be able to stay healthy enough to work, go to school or care for their families without access to proper medications, which can trap them in a cycle of poverty. The Society partners with LDI Integrated Pharmacy Services to provide pharmaceuticals at no cost. Volunteers provide vouchers to people in need, who give the vouchers to their physicians to fill out. The pharmaceutical company processes vouchers and the client receives their medications at no charge.
When those in need have access to the medicines they need, they can stay healthy enough to support their families.
